Sign in to disble this ad
The Dudepit message board on Vintagebass.com has been down for at least the past 24 hours, maybe longer.

Vintagebass.com is also down.

Anybody know what's up? Steve Barr still having legal problems, etc.?

Big announcements for the new phase DP v3. I guess this is it, lol.
He had been posting furiously the last few days in an obvious manic frenzy for attention.

Cat sure knows how to torch a bridge, hope he pulls out of it, though.

The Pit will be undergoing it's 3rd reincarnation this month, getting much smaller and I'll only be retaining Lakland Basses, East Preamps and a few others but Guitar Center, Musician's Friend, Guitar Trader, ZZ Sounds, Instrument Pro, Music 123, Music Notes, Musical Instrument Outlet, Bass Books, Shopzilla, Gigasonic,Workshop Live, Stagepass.com, and Amazon are now all advertising on my sites....so go figure!!!

Went over to DP-1 on ezboard to see if he'd posted anything as to why it's not up, nothing there.

Who knows.

Best of luck...

Not only legal, but "health" problems. . . and all problems lead down to money problems. . . don't they?

All the best to him.

I'm sure he's a great guy and all and I'm not trying to bash his site, but for whatever reason it just seemed like a smaller version of what we have here. I would only visit it once every few weeks instead of multiple times a day like here.

He's finally found the ultimate method to keep the trolls away.

Question

Steve has always seemed like a
" take it or leave it " kinda guy , and i like that .
i remember there was a falling out with certain members ,
but i also know there's two sides to every story ...

i hope he stays in the business , but i
guess that's his choice ...
i liked the DUDE PIT .

i wish him well .

Maybe someone forgot to ship him the new licenses for the software? I know the big move to DP3 got delayed once when demos expired.

there was a blurb yesterday on the other side of the big pond

He said the URL would just be thedudepit.com, (without the vintagebass part) but as of now that's still resolving back to the old URL and getting the same error message.

at Jules place
with Uwe posting as well.

-Dude encounters himself as a software salesman.

"No, no they are definitely in the mail, I so remember sending them, really. Go look in your mail box, I'm sure they are there, or will be soon, because I sent them...Oh wait a minute, I'm sorry, I didn't actually send them and missed the deadline to get them for you...Sorry, really...Well no, I'm not actually sorry...but I did send them, are you ******* happy now ****face???.....Actually, no, I didn't REALLY send them, and you can all kiss my butt for asking 'cause I ain't the least bit sorry, so kiss my not sorry butt and stop asking why I didn't send the updates while you kiss my butt ****faces!"
