dunlop picks - ultex vs. tortex ??

Hi!

I am going to buy some dunlop ultex picks but I never tried them.

I usually play yellow tortex, .73mm....

having never tried ultex picks I don't know wich gauge could suit my needs better, could anyone give me some advice?

I know the question may seem stupid, as I could get a bunch of them just to try, but I can't find those picks in shops here in Italy, and I have to buy packs of them on the web... so I don't want to waste money....

any advice?

Try the ultex. If you like 'em, you like 'em. If you don't, you don't. Not a huge investment.

I actually really dig the ultex, but they're ugly. So I use tortex instead. I really don't notice a difference.

On a bass, I really don't notice that big a difference. On an acoustic guitar, I hear a pretty significant difference, and will choose the Ultex any day or Tortex, and especially Nylons.
