Have you ever seen the A&E TV Network Private Sessions Show? This is one of the best weekly music interview and performance shows on TV. There is a quite list of varied musicians on the show from many musical styles. Check the A&E schedule to see when it airs but they also have clips on the website.
This show has been around for several years now, it's a nice intimate setting for an artist to perform and interview. Probably about 3 years ago when I first saw it the artist that week was Blues Traveler. Man the electric upright their bassist used was rockin.
