OK, way off bass stuff... I am guaging my ears to 10g with just very simple CBR's. I can't get the damn ball into the ring.
Other than going to a shop, does anyone have any suggestions. I do not have a opener or a closer tool either.
Also, this is not much of a stretch. I am just going from 12g to 10g.

I've done it with needle nose pliers before, pretty damned hard to do yourself though.

Didn't the needle nose pliers damage the steel?

It's usually easier to have someone else to it for you while it's in your ear. Or, practice putting the ball in and out before you put it in your ear.

How big are you gonna stretch? I'm at 00, probably staying here.

I am a noob and am only going to 10g. Neck down are all 6g, but since I work for the State Government, it is nice to be able to take my earrings out and be a little more "professional" when I want/need to be. Besides that, I do not want to be one of those mid-40's + guys trying to keep up my youth. My ears have been pierced for nearly 30 years.

I take 12's in and out everyday for work. It just takes practice.

I also took mine to a polishing wheel to slightly loosen them up, but not enough to make them not stay.

The 3mm beads are alot harder put in than 5mm.

I've got 00 CBRs that weigh a ton (I never wear them). the ball for those has a spring inside it, and a smaller ball on each side that fits in divits in the hoop itself
