Which bands do you think have simple guitar/bass parts? For me, I think Judas Priest have some simple parts especially in Breaking the Law and Living after midnight.

I have to nominate the music of KISS. Pretty much a blueprint on how to write simple yet rockin' tunes. Of course the Ramones come to mind as well.
