Ha! It's a price hike packaged as a fee reduction.

Agreed... eBay is over. Makes TB Classifieds a better deal than ever, IMO.

Ebay hasn't driven me away as a seller yet, but they're trying hard. When they stopped allowing sellers to give buyers negative feedback I sent them a number of nasty emails.

It's galling. I have sworn to stop using them several times over the last few years, with each time becoming more irritated... but the fact is I can find things there that I can't find anywhere else, and I can sell things there that just aren't moving in other venues.

I hate to admit it, but I probably won't be ready to "quit for real" until the economy picks up, and people are more ready to buy in the TB classifieds.

Yeah. It reminds me of Wal-Mart. I despise going there but when I walk over to the Rite Aid across the street my 5 item shopping list costs $10 more.

I wish I could find something other than a tyrannical monster that eats its own young like ebay, but there's nothing like it and I need the money I make from it for my student loans.

Craigslist is nice but it has its downsides, most notably the large amount of low-ballers and even larger amount of spam.

I haven't read the whole list of changes, but apparently they are fixing a 9% FVF on all auction-style listings. I'm figuring with the amount of stuff I'm moving that could add up to a $100 or more a month. If I'm only making $800-$1000 a month on it that's gonna screw me.
