I am thinking of selling off some of gear on EBay so I can afford a solid-state backup to my tube amp. What do you guys think the effect of the Holidays will have on pricing?

Is it a better idea to try and sell stuff before Christmas? Or maybe after, when kids might have more money to buy stuff?

Well during the holidays, people try to seel stuff off for some quick cash to buy presents with, so I don't think it'd be a good time to sell (to many people selling stuff for REAL cheap).

But then again after the holidays, all the kids have had the their amps given tot hem for christmas or hanukah etc.

Id either try to sell it off really soon, or wait a little while after the holidays for those kids who decided they dont like the stuff their grand parents gave them and returned it for some cash
