ebay woes

hi guys i need some advice on how to get my money back when a transaction is cancelled on ebay.

heres the story:

I won a bid for a bass and already paid the guy through paypal. Then he comes and tells me that he made a mistake in selling the bass and somebody hacked his account and wants to call the deal off.

I said ok but he has to refund and so he tells me he will do it through paypal. That was some months ago and recently i recieved a message from ebay that requires me the cancel the transaction. I did it and that was a month ago and my money has yet to appear in the paypal account. What can i do in a situation like this?

You need to be in constant contact with customer service representatives from both Ebay and Paypal. All the steps you describe are parts of the normal process for ending a transaction, but you have to read and understand what those steps are, and follow them according to Paypal's timetable. If you just wait for things to happen, nothing will happen.
