Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace?

So, has anyone heard/bought the new Foo Fighters album?

This has to be the best album released in several years IMO! bar none! This is typical classic Foo Fighters, doing what they do best, putting out solid fantastic albums. They have been doing this for over 10years now and yet are still to disapoint me. These fellers seriously deserve everything they have, unlike all these other 'rockstars'. {/rant over :P]

The album is full of different aspect of music, with some slow, mellow, meaningful songs, such as 'Home' and 'Stranger Things Have Happened'. Yet there is your typical pounding foo fighters riffs, drum lines and catchy vox with songs such as 'Let it Die' and 'The Pretender' This album is such a solid album, there are no weak links(songs) on this album and possibly the most consistant album out there. Many songs start out slow, but pick up after a while - such as previous song like 'Everlong' and 'Lonely As You'. This seriously should be a must have in any music collection! Although i said i couldn't put any song/s above any else, the highlights of the album IMO have to be 'Let It Die' and 'But, Honestly'. Foo Fighters would be able to release any song of this album and not disapoint!

IMO this album is up there with the classic albums such as; Californacation, Appetite for Destruction etc
I just though i would let all you nice TB'ers out there that you need this album! (sorry for the long post)
Thoughts on the album?

My dad won't stop ranting on about how great it is, and how it's his favourite ever FF's album. I haven't bothered listening to it yet, might have to check it out later this week.

It's a good record.

I really love One By One.

I'm still digesting In Your Honor.

They're my favorite "current" "big time" rock band- by far.

Good album - a step forward by bringing the acoustic sessions and hard rock styley together in the same songs, rather than splitting out the genres.

Still an interesting and important rock band IMHO

I seriously cannot listen to this album enough! In my mind, this is/will be a epic album. Can this band do no wrong?

I believe 'Long Road to Ruin' is Foo Fighters next release, but not 100% sure. This is such a solid song. It's one of the songs that you could listen to time and time again and love the song a tad more every single time.

Passion, Grace and Fire by John McLaughlin, Paco De Lucia and Al Di Meola is better.

Especially if you like many, many, many, many, many notes.
