Elvis Live-Recommendations

"Elvis: As Recorded at Madison Square Garden" is killer. The band (James Burton on guitar, Jerry Scheff on bass, Ron Tutt on drums, Glen D Hardin on piano, etc.) is killer and dead on. Elvis is inspired and not at all the caricature he made of himself later.

Jerry Scheff kills all over this recording too. Years ago a great local bassist told me he got all his good ideas off this album.

the movie elvis the the way it was is pretty fun, they show it on regular tv in LA sometimes

My exact recommendation after seeing the thread title. I have the original LP and it's definitely an awesome live album.
