Embarass The Pros in 10 Minutes of Instruction!: Get Great Quick Scheme Stories

Sign in to disble this ad
Ok so I was browsing the ads here on TB last night, and I ran across an ad that told me that in one hour, I could master the fretboard and embarass lifetime pros. There were references to how my new skill would "get me the ladies, help me make money, etc" basically like a too good to be true infomercial. Of course there were testimonials about 15 year vets who doubled their skill in an hour or whatever. I decided it was way too good to be true, and if it was so wonderful, I would have heard about it already. Any of you got any opinions/stories on these "Get Great Today" playing schemes?

Sounds like a good deal to me. Which link was it? I think this will be the best money I've ever spent.

if its too good to be true, it probably is.

i learned that the hard way (in a situation completely unrelated to music).

And one would think that any bassist with "skills that embarass lifetime pros" would himself be, you know, at least somewhat well-known...

Sounds good. Sign me up. I get tired of the hard work and actual satisfaction of learning my instrument.

Well, at least the person who wrote the method didn't ramble on about how he was in an auto accident and then came back and played all styles of music, and he just wants to give children the gift of music. Then he'll invoke Charles Mingus (instead of Segovia) every other minute.

I don't mind embarassing myself, I'm not worried about embarrasing the pros

I wouldn't want the pros to be mad at me, so I'll pass.

I embarass the pros all the time. I go up to them and say, "Hey you got ketchup on your shirt," and they look and see no ketchup then I laugh at them then I throw a hotdog covered with ketchup on their shirt, and like now where I pointed before does have ketchup and they don't even have to look to know it.

Try playing in your friggin Philharmonic or whatever now you jackassy catsup shirted ketchup bassist.
