Unhappy End Of My First term in College

Sign in to disble this ad

Hi Tb users ,

I havent been on talkbass for the past month,

I just wanted to share with u guys what ive been doing currently in college since im studying jazz

Well first next week, i got this crazy technique final exam,
major, minor, pentatonic major & minor, harmonic, melodic + blues scale at 75 bpm in 16th notes. (doing them in cycle of fifths + using the open strings)

Same thing with the modes (except you do all the them in C without repeating the root and you go on F-Bb e.t.c)

Arpeggios + chromatic jazz patterns he gave us that are hard especially when you go down in chromatics staying in first position)

Walking on satin doll (using chromatic, double chromatics, arpeggios and caracteristics notes)

A random sheet we gotta read ( usually a samba or a crazy walk loaded with triplets)

Then in 2 weeks my final tunes exams

1) partida #1n i E major (J-S Bach)
2) hikky Burr
3) Billie’s bounce (head + walk)

Tell me what you guys think and please which me a lot of strenght for practicing until my brain cant take it cause dont forget i got 10 other classes with as much work.

im going to bed,
