Greetings, I recently acquired a '95 Epi Rivoli Short Scale & am looking for a new hardshell case to fit. After calling around to different folks including Epiphone, I am having difficulty finding one without going the custom route. Any one know of an available case? Thanks
there's a seller on ebay that makes a case for it but I didn't see any listed right now. he puts them up on a regular basis. under $100, iirc. I bought an Epi Jack Casady case for mine. it's a little deeper than the Rivoli's body and there some extra room at the headstock. I use a piece of high density foam 1" thick under the body so the bass can lay flat.
Many Thanks, that snug fit on the lower & upper bouts was what I was having trouble finding as no one could give me any bout dimensions of similar bass guitars with their cases for some odd reason. I prefer the ample headroom above the headstock that your photo shows in the case of the head of the case taking a hit.. I did look at the Jack Casady & the Allen Woody cases available at Sweetwater but just could not get any size information that would be very reassuring. Glad to know you have first hand experience.
I really appreciate your information & will keep looking on ebay.
