Equipment Case?

Sign in to disble this ad
I am looking for a decent hard equipment case to replace the equipment bag I have for more protection. I need to keep the cost under 100 dollars. All my gear fits into this bag, including my song book:

I was looking at this case:

Ideas? Opinions? Direction?

Thanks

if you want something that will last...you can't go wrong with a Pelican Case

I use a deluxe laptop/travel bag, which has wheels and a telescoping pull handle. I got it at Goodwill for $10! My boss multi-fx is the same size as a laptp and slides in the side. I use the business dividers (file section) for instrument cables, and the pen/calculator front pocket fits all of my set up tools.

Here's one that looks like it:

It's a great fit IMO.

Check out tool cases/boxes they have in stock at Lowe's and Home Depot. I picked up a metal sided briefcase for $20. I use a laptop bag inside and use some foam inserts in for extra padding. Works great and it's cheap!

Thanks for the input, but I stumbled across an attache case, believe it or not, that will hold all my pedals, drum machine, microphones, and harmony box with room to spare. I can keep all my cables and my songbook in the soft bag. I just wanted something to protect the breakable equipment.

If you know anybody in the military (active or guard) or have an Army/Navy store near you, a great case is a wooden or metal ammo crate. They are heavy duty with rope or metal handles and a latch you can put a padlock on. They come in many different sizes and are pretty much indestrucible. I have been using them for decades and they never wear out. Most of the time, the military throws them away or burns them. The metal boxes make great mic and electronics cases.

I use a plastic 22" Stanley Toolbox from my local hardware store.
