Ergonomic Straps

Anyone use one of these things? Do they work? I have a nerve pinch in my neck that effects the left side a bit, and my physical therapist recommended I look into one.

Should I just suffer through?

Sure the strap should be ergonomic - the wider the better. I used a flexible (elastic) strap for many years that was great, but I have lost it somewhere... I've been thinking about getting a new one like that, it was the most comfortable one I've ever used.
