Yeah, they've been around for quite some time (mid 60's) in classical guitar circles. I used to listen to Narciso Yepes a great deal when I was in college (and a classical guitar major), there is a link to a couple of excellent recordings of him with the guitar on another page at that site.

Very valid instrument, for it's intended use.

Yeah, that's what they say about them silly 27-string bass/harp/coffee-table/aircraft carrier thingies.




BTW, in keeping w/the unwritten rules of GAS, my first thoughts on these were, 'I want one!'
Second thoughts: 'It would be somewhat like adding a classical guitar(which I can't really play)onto an ABG(which I've finally decided I don't much care for).
I should just get a couple of their CDs...
