i used these at work to clean up guitars and basses sometimes, and got a few to take home one day. I used them on my strings and they literally killed the tone dead. sounds like an upright bass now! My strings are literally 2 weeks old. Anybody who buys any kind of string cleaner must be crazy! i found that after reading a ton of ideas from people that applying any type of liquid to my strings kills the tone. i can see wiping the strings off with a dry cloth after playing, but anything else doesnt seem to work. |
