I don't really know of any guitar forums though so I hope its ok to post here :/

I was just playing my guitar through my marshall AVT 100 on the overdrive2 channel and all of a sudden it started sounding awful, in the middle of the song I was playing....like I had no low-ranges, just mids and highs, even with the bass knob cranked all the way up. I immediately thought it was my guitar, since I've always had some problems with the input jack needing a resoldering , or the battery randomly dying, but I checked it all and put a fresh battery in and it sounds the same.

It sounds fine on the clean channel, which leads me to believe something in the amp has gone awry, but...if one of the valves popped or something inside, would I be getting any sound at all? I haven't the slightest idea how amps work.

If I can't figure it out I'm going to walk down to Sam Ash and trade in all my guitar gear and old basses for some better bass equipment, so..maybe it was a good thing, but that's kind of a last resort =p

AFAIK, the AVT 100 is not a valve/tube amp, so there's one problem you don't have to worry about
