Esperanza Spalding on Austin City Limits
 

I caught the last 5 or 6 min of Austin City Limits on PBS last night with Esperanza Spalding. Having seen her name several times on TB forums and checked out her website I really didn't have a clue about what this gal can do. I only caught the last tune, her encore, where she did a scat sing thing with the upright bass and drummer. I know many here on TB are big fans of this girl and can now see why.

UN FREAKING BELIEVABLE.

She is unfreaking believable. When you consider the fact that she also writes and I think produces her own material and the caliber of songwriting, sings beautifully whist playing some very techincal lines, she is one truly gifted artist. I really dig the video of her on KCRW. Check it out.
