Thats because they lie to people telling them they are great guitars, people order them with the learn to play guitar videos after seeing the infomercial and realize after a short time that the guitars are junk. Estaban has no problem telling people that his guitars are top quality when in fact they aren't worthy of a good roaring fire.

My local guitar shop has one of these sitting on a stand right up front by the cash register with "These are Junk" written in permanent marker across the front of the body.

That's a question of burning import indeed. Personally, though, I think they're most appropriate for acoustic Who tribute bands.

I really feel sorry for the suckers who buy those things.

When I had my shop, I had the honor of doing a fret dress and setting up an Esteban guitar. I tried to tell the customer they would be ahead by just buying a cheap guitar from me instead of wasting good money on a POS.

Someone gave me one. Unplayable because the bridge is about a quarter of an inch out of place.
To me, the unforgivable sin that Esteban has committed: All of the potentially good musicians and the beautiful music they could have created were squashed by trying to learn on a POS guitar.
I hope the man enjoys his money in hades.

I never bought or played one but they do look decent enough from the infomercials, It was always on my "consider" list, but after reading all these threads, forget it. Thanks...before I was fooled too.

If it is being sold on infomercials that should already be a red flag. 99% of the stuff sold that way is garbage.

Wonder how long until law suits start to mount against HSN and Dan Fernaueu for fraud?
