Europe for Bassists

I'm new to the forum and I'm terrible at talking about myself. So, I'm going to skip that part.

I have noticed that many of you guys are from Europe. I live in the United States and am planning a trip to some where in Europe in the next year or two (I'm thinking of going to Italy). What are some bass related things I can do.

I would also love to be able to see some great local shows while I'm there. Any ideas?
