im a pretty big fan of Hardcore. but they arent that great. hardcore with vocals like that isnt usually good unless its faster then the speed of light.

Yeah, you can call anything music. The intro actually had a retro-prog vibe goin for a sec.

My question is, how do you audition the singer, no wait, vocali...er, screamer?

I kinda liked the little unison instrumental passages, but the vocalizing (or whatever it should be called) is dire.

Unfortunately my town's local 'post hardcore' scene has been growing steadily. I'm really not a fan, but theres no reason its not music.

i've heard screamer stuff like that that at least sounded ok from a production standpoint, but the guitars sounded like they were recorded through a pc speaker that was shoved up someone's nose - they hurt my ears way more than screamy-kins. the guitar-tone equivalent of arnold horshack.

How did they record that? Just one mic? They had a weird stereo sound going that I liked. Distant vocals in both ears and the main screaming stuff in the middle.

Not my kind of music, but the recording is somehow cool.

Without the all the screaming, they could get an almost cool experimental Don Cabellero type thing going on.

With all the screaming, I'm inclined to nominate "Zombie Burger King Playland Meth Incident" as their next album title. No need to thank me, just forward royalties to my PayPal account.

The instrumental work is decent enough, but like many others have already said, the vocals aren't my cup of tea, either.

At least we can seek comfort in the fact that if the lead screamer keeps singing like that he'll shred is vocal chords faster than any AC/DC singer.

Diamanda Galas is easier to listen to than these guys. That reminds me, I still need to pick up "The Sporting Life" with JPJ.

Screamy-cocainecore is soooooooo 2003. But even then, though, they're pretty dull. This kind of stuff is fun to play and if you get it right it sounds awesome, but it's easy to get it wrong and then it just sounds like crap.

The song is also way too long.
