Ever come up with your own music video?

So I sometimes come up with my own visualisation for a song whilst listening to it. I've been doing that since I was a little kid. This usually works best for me if I haven't seen the real video (if any) or if I'm not satisfied with it.

For example, RATM's Testify clip is about the 2000 election, but for some reason, I keep imagining a sort of anime version of the band performing. Kind of like the Daft Punk film.

And after listening to Silverchair's Mind Reader, I came up with this...

Does anybody else ever do this whilst listening to music?

Hi.

Music is supposed to be food for our brain just as any reading, so yes, I think like that quite often.

Now I have no idea what so ever what the tune You speak of is about, I couldn't name any RATM tunes if my life depended on that, but the general idea about varying genres/decades is quite well used and while easy to execute, quite easily ruined too.
To be honest, I was expecting an animation, not a script .

I can't do animations, the software just wasn't around when I had the "free" time to learn how to use them. Manually it was just too much work and when I sold the 16mm Krasnigorsk K3 I had, well, that was that as they say.
If You have ideas you think are original, perhaps better than the current video a song has, do your own script and animate it. Sent to youtube or directly to the record label, You might get lucky.

Regards
Sam

In the days before MTV, that's pretty much what every music fan did. Especially with trippy stuff like Pink Floyd. In fact, when MTV first started becoming popular, there were complaints from people that it was killing the ability for people to imagine their own visualizations.
