Crawled into bed at 3:45AM after Friday's show...which is typical. I usually have a crash & burn about 5:PM the following day.

But I love the stage...so you's makes yer choices.

having the band van reek of farm, two puncture holes in the material of the ceiling, and multiple lolly pops licked just enough to stick to the side of the van in the middle of urbania/ suburbia after partying with a reggae band. That was a night or day. That is the only one I never came to a conclusive answer to.

I had one of those last week! Played the Canal Room, then my drummer had another gig at *Latina in Corona, so I went with him. Turns out it was two sets, and he went on at about 2am! Finally got home (which was right down the block, actually) as the sun was coming up.

Where did you play, btw?

Many, many times I was unloading the van with the sun coming up. Not recently, thank goodness (I'm getting a bit long in the tooth for that sort of stuff), but sure, plenty of times. Somehow, the lead singer and horn players always found a way to miss that party...

Cool room. I like Connolly's.

Yeah, you're not too far from me. I'm right next to Elmhurst Hospital (the place I mentioned is right off Roosevelt).

I had been up almost 24 hours, working all day and a hell of a night at the club. The guitar player swore he would back the trailer up against the garage at his house. Instead, he went to his girlfriend's apartment, fell asleep and the whole trailer was stolen with everybody's equipment in it.

When I was a teenager, we used to play an after hours club from 2:00 - 5:00 a.m. and I would pack up and go straight to work at 7:00 a.m.
