I've recently saw this clip on ebaumsworld. it's a pretty cool clip. it's a clip of this guy customizing his upright bass with some violin-like parts and he was creating some pretty cool music. here it is. enjoy the clip.

it seems like he went through a lot of efforts for not a minimal selection of sounds--the song was cool, but to add those bridges and necks to the bass essentially to have those 2 or 3 strummed parts seemed a bit much.

i thought most of that stuff was pointless (although props to the guy for trying something new). but i DID like the idea of the bass pedal hitting the body. not that i'd try it on an upright, but i can see some potential there...like if the back of the instrument had a drum frame set into the wood...idk just a thought
