sad, growing up with the carol burnet show I always heard the references Steve made to here but was blissfully unaware of who she actually was back then.
Listening to that cool, if dreary, version of black hole sun.... she nails it in a sexy and scarily talented way. I was never a huge fan of his singing... let him do silly movies. but her singing was insane on that song - so much control.
a sad day! she'll be missed.

She was a very talented singer, and "Steve and Eydie" were often on the tube in the early 60's. Nice lady, R.I.P.

Standard fare on the radio in the 60's for the greatest generation crowd. I met an old (im over 60) couple a few years back who cherished their old Steve and Eydie tapes like gold. very talented singer.
