F Bass Straps

Sign in to disble this ad
Ok, I need to buy a couple of really nice, preferably leather, straps for my basses. I have a great F Bass strap (I think it was $70, which is well worth it) I really love and wish I could find another (without the logo...) to use on my Elrick and my Fender basses. Anyone know who makes the F Bass strap that I could order a plain one from?

Or maybe recomend another strap to use. I do lots of 4+ hour gigs so I need something nice. All of my basses are different body types so to use the same strap I have to move the strap, and I prefer to keep it the same so it's always consistent.

Thanks,
Brian

Have you considered one of these:

It's a Moody made TalkBass strap. I don't own one but I have seen one and they are very nice. They are expensive, but you don't get much better than that.

Straps alternatives

I have a comfort strap that I like a lot. I use it on a streamer stage I 6 string , and it balances very well.

I'm pretty sure the Fbass strap is a Levi's strap. If you email or call George he will tell you exactly what it is.

I just ordered an Fbass strap!

I know you want a leather strap but you may want to check out the Comfort Strapp and the Sadowsky strap. I use both and one band I play with is a corporate band that does two to three hour sets. These straps have saved my shoulder and back.

I second the Comfort Strapp. That's what I use and they are nice. If you don't mind it not being leather, then I would check them out.

I have 2 F bass straps. One on My Dingwall and 1 on my Spector. I also have 2 Italia Straps, but they are too wide. 1 on a MM5 and 1 on a Dean 12er. They work, but should be 3.5" not 4". I also have 2 other Levy's straps. 1 is an older one and the other, I got a Levy without the F (without the logo), but it ain't the same. George F. has levy spec these out and they are not a production model with logo. (I don't care, even if they say they are.) I am looking for another F strap for my new F-ender.

The italia straps are fine for me. Nice and wide and holds the bass where I tell it to.
