I only used the first four because they all had the same musical feel to them. For me this is a really hard choice.

Out of the first four... probably going to go with Master of Reality.
And yeah, they're albums... or even LP's.... and I am old.

i feel the album Black Sabbath is an awesome landmark in so many ways and in its entirety because it laid the foot print for what still stands today.
The intro and
'What is this that stands before me'....
Stark and menacing surely LOL
It still effects me to this day..dark room, head phones, eyes closed....and then back it up with the Wizard....and on it goes.!! ...
Paranoid same but it was produced after Black Sabbath.
Admittedly Paranoid achieved a number one but I am voting on what the album did for me rather than what was or may have been more popoular, so to speak.....

Just got a copy of 'Heaven & Hell ' The Devil You Know' that was done in 2009 but had V. Appice on drums.I know it anit Sabbath but it is except for the drums.
This sounds so good & heavy from these old fellas. It sorta spins my mind how good they can sound without even trying.
They cd`s are all good. |

| | | | I remember at my local library, amongst the Olivia Newton John and the Dan Fogleberg was nestled Black Sabbath's Greatest Hits, complete with The Triumph Of Death cover. I was about 11 years old when I found it. How it lured me in with its daring cover art. |

1st, Paranoid, & Master are ALL KILL NO FILL. Vol 4 has some great stuff, but one or two cuts that I can live without. I guess I chose S/T & Paranoid cuz Master has more of a predictable timing feel to all the songs, whereas the first two just rock all over the freakin' place Geez & the band at their finest!

And yes, another oldie here with all these albums gathering dust in boxes |
