I love the intricate scenes on the Rudimentary Peni LP covers. These were hand drawn in pen and ink. The amount of detail involved is incredible.

Here's the "Death Church" cover: http://rintoulvinyl.s3.amazonaws.com/DSC_0946.JPG

The first Black Sabbath album and Queen's News of the World are two of my favorites.

Great album jacket art, photos, and text are what I really miss about the golden age of vinyl. With the cassette and CD, it all got too small to enjoy, and with the digital download, it all but disappeared.

Here are the first two that came to mind.

Blind Faith's album had a too-young looking girl, and was more "strange" than "sexy." The original "Electric Ladyland" cover was not approved by the artist, Jimi Hendrix, and it is silly.

"Country Life" was legitimately sexy, and was actual art. It is one of my all time favorite album covers, along with some of the Hipgnosis covers for Pink Floyd, and all the other great covers from back when album art was a big deal.

I love all things Yes. Close To The Edge gets my vote. And the one with the cats too.
