My dad used them for bass, so I bought a few when I started out. I still use one once in a while when I want a different sound....

I tried a felt pick once, but it was thick and clumsy to use (at least for me), and so I never used one again.

I was thinking about using felt picks on my AEB rather than on my electric.

I wrapped one of my large ESP picks with cloth tape. Originally, I wrapped the two upper corners (i.e. the non-picking corners) for grip, but I realized it offers me a different timbre when I pick with that.

Tried felt on the banjo and rhythm guitar - did not like the feel. Couple of dollar experiment, see what you think.

I have had one for years and Its diffrent good for a nice thump with flats. I could see it for recording but not live. I'm not a pick player and cant remember for anything why or where I got it. I read somewhere once where Tom Petty's bass player used them on recordings.
