I wonder how much of that can be blamed on poor monitors? Or alcohol?

Today's hip-hop pop music. Ugh.

Didn't see anything too horrible. She just stood there for the most part and didn't really seem into it. Never had a very high opinion of her music, so maybe it's not that much of a shock to me to see the video.

What's the obsession with taking the pretty girl out of the interesting group and trying to market her as a generic solo act? Same thing with Gwen Stefani and No Doubt.

Fergie is beyond the poor man's Gwen Stefani. She's the homeless man's Gwen Stefani. And that's saying something.

That didn't really inspire me to look more into her solo career.

That song sounds like my 4 year old niece wrote it. ughh. I mean, "Fergalicious"? c'mon. I would have liked to be at that brainstorming session...and stopped it

Gwen has gone to hell in a handbasket. She's no longer the tough, self-reliant strong woman figure she was with No Doubt. She's just fluff now, and it's sad to see what's happened to her.

I was listening to the radio this morning on the way to work and they were bashing Gwen's performance last night. They also said even she's not a fan of her new album and wants to get back to making music with No Doubt. I wouldn't be surprised if pressure from the record label forced a second, half-hearted solo album out of her to try to capitalize on her first album's popularity.

Looks like she can actually sing when she's sober: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TMn94KLnGcY

Man,if she came out with a cd with songs like that, I'd buy it. She's got a pretty dang good singing voice. I think I respect for her talent just went up a tad.

Here's an interesting thing... I know a lot of people who go nuts over her, but she is just an average girl who can sing and perform (notice I say she is not an artist?).

Here's a pic to illustrate my point...

Photo-chopped...

Real-life...

Now as far as the music goes, I find it unimaginative, and wholly uninspiring. If you took her out of it, and left the band, I'd probably like it...

the only good thing to come out of the cheesy girl pop-hop genre is some sick timbaland beats:-P even though the stuff he does with missy elliot and justin timberlake is still much better.

if'n it ain't the drinking... maybe she's back on the crystal meth

I caught Gwen's attempt at the show on youtube as well.... it was embarrassing. I really dug her early on in No Doubt.

Whoa- that shot looks as tho its had an ugly stick touch up. I saw the B.E.Peas at the BDO in Sydney( they were just OK-had a live band that was pretty good) & I was Up close & she looked WAY better than that! Either that photo's had a ugly tuch, or she's just comin off a month long Ice bender or summink>?????????

She mentioned it in a Time mag article a while back. The fall of a child star followed by Wild Orchid being dropped by their label prior to the release of their 3rd disc.

Wild Orchid's cd was actually pretty good! Really good production! Too bad the group couldn't stick together!
