Finally GAS FREE!

Sign in to disble this ad
2 years ago my goal was to be a better player and to get good equipment to sound like a pro.
I had a cheap Ibanez Ergodyne, a Fender Mexico defretted by a local luthier, a sansamp para driver di and a fender squier combo of 15 watts.

Now I can say I am GAS free!!!!

Basses: Musicman SR5 w/piezo, a Fender Roscoe Beck V, a 1999 Tobias Growler Gibson 5.
Preamps: sansamp bddi, and a Sadowsky Outboard Preamp.
RIG: rack with a Gallien Krueger 1001rbII and a DBX 160A compressor.
A hartke xl 410 Cab.
a fender squier combo of 15 watts for rehearsing at home .

It was 2 years of planning what to buy and this forum was of great information, I bought some thinks like an extra cab and some effects that I finaly sold to buy a passive bass like the Roscoe Beck.
THANKS TO ALL FOR HELPING ME!

"Gas-Free" is what I used to think Then I realised I needed the same bass in another color, just because.

JEJE
I expect I can keep my self out of the GAS, sometimes I dream with a Peavey Cirrus V, but it will be too much for me,

Gas free is only a temporary condition.

True. Enjoy the feeling while it lasts, but if you're hanging around here it won't last long!

But well done for building such an awesome collecion in such a short space of time!

I do. In fact, you could play your entire career on any one of those basses by itself. But having all 3 is even better. And that GK 1001RBII you'll never have to buy again either.

My 4 string Carvin Bunny ended the bass GAS for me when it came in from Carvin a few weeks ago. With it and my L2000 I've pretty much run out of desire to get any other basses. Same with my GK amps (also 1001RBII's, two of them). The only thing left is just incidentals like another portable cab for my second GK head and maybe a little monkeying around with strings for my Bunny. But that's pretty much it for me.
