Ive crossed back over to the guitar side.....
Im sorry to some, but its a happy change for me.
Much easier to write songs with guitar, lol.
I traded in my GSR200 bass for an Ibanez RG 120.
Im still playing through a GK amp (that wont be damaging, right? I heard that you just cant play BASS through a GUITAR amp) but yeah.....
Our new band line up (and name is)

Acridose-

Me (Chris Kimball)- Lead Vocals, Guitar and Keys
Derrick G- Guitar, Co lead vocals
Cody M- Bass, backing vocals
Dan M- Drums, backing vocals

Check out our stuff while your at it-

Hey, do what makes you happy. But please. Get a Marshall!
GK is for pure bass

I got G.A.S for a few guitars too! Look at my list! LOL

Play what instrument makes you happy. It shouldn't matter to anyone else. However, I would highly recommend trading in your GK bass amp for proper guitar amp. The high frequencies of a guitar can do damage at high volumes. If you went so far as trading your bass in for a guitar, why not just go for the amp as well?

I don't know why that is, but I find it true as well.

Good luck!

I do all of my writing on guitar or keys... but I'm still a bass player first. Whatever floats your boat, and good luck with the new band.

That being said, GK did make some major kick ass guitar amps up until the early 90's.

Different strokes for different folks I actually play both as well, but I'm a bass player at heart. For me, regular guitar is like golf.. I finally feel like I got it all figured out.. Then I realize I suck and run outta ideas.. haha.. Bass fits me like a glove though

Good luck on playing guitar. I've actually found songwriting to be significantly easier since picking up bass, it lets hear a more complete song in my head.

Please, do not get an amp made by the Marshall 'corporation,' unless you get something made atleast two decades ago.
