Finally, a piece of really good gear.

I finally did what I've needed to do for a while, find a guitar that I like, and buy it, instead of shopping around to try and find something better. So, I ended up with this, a Schecter Ultra. The deal I got was too sweet to pass up, too

uh oh.... I see that the design is very similar to a Gibson Firebird in several areas... Well imitation is the best flattery I suppose. With those humbuckers, I suppose it has some nice middy 'growl' in the tone?

Pretty axe overall!

I hate the headstock, but otherwise that's a great design. It takes what's good about a Firebird, and changes what's bad...and then ruins it with the headstock.

Thank you for the compliments!

And yes, it does look like the illegitimate child of a Firebird and a Telecaster, with some strange genetic mutation causing the 2X4 headstock.

The bridge pickup is very middy, and the neck is warm and clean. Add the coil tap into the mix, and some cool sounds are possible.

Thanks again for the compliments.
