Does anyone know how I can find a certain Guitar Center's Rep #?
I want to find out if the Guitar Center in Burbank, IL has any Ebay auctions, so I can get an idea of what to look for when I go there next week.
Thanks for any help!

-David | Call them. I can't see GC not cooperating with a potential sale.

-David | This is quite funny because a few weeks ago, I had to contact the very same Guitar Center to ask about an item they had on Ebay that did not sell. Suffice to say, they gave me the run around and then tried to sell it to me for $400.00 more than the auction price did not even sell for!
Good luck. |

Good luck. | I would guess their reserve price was $400 more then the item ended for. |

Go figure.
Their logic was "well, it's been hanging in the store with that price tag and we're sure it's going to sell!"
Strangely enough, when I talked to the rep in charge of the Ebay auction, he mentioned he would be willing to arrange a sale for their initial asking price. When I called back for details, I got someone else on the horn and he denied that the aforementioned conversation ever took place.
A few days later, I get an e-mail from the rep saying that bass is going back on Ebay at the initial asking price.
That was about a week or two ago and the bass never hit Ebay again. |

-David | I used to go to that Guitar Center all the time, but that was over 10 years ago.
Al and Cosmo were the guys I dealt with, but it's so long ago they probably quit, retired, or got promoted. |

Good luck. | If you really want the item, call again on a different day, or ask for a different salesman. If you're lucky one of the them will be motivated to make a commission. Chances are that the guy was too lazy to ask the manager. Call during the day when it's slow, and you'll have a better chance of talking to someone who can deal, instead of a lackey who's gonna quit after they're done getting their discount. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
