Finding partners for a collaborative cover

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys, I'm out of school for another two months, and summer boredom hit me. I was surfing YouTube one day and found a bunch of collaborative covers -- everything from two guitarists to a full band. Many of these seem to be across long distances and put together over the internet. I thought that would be a fun side project, and am now considering doing it.

Has anyone on TB ever done this? How do you go about finding people who would like to work on the same songs you have in mind? I've already asked one guitar duo I enjoy if I could maybe contribute some bass, but I was curious if there's a better way.

Also, if anyone on TB happens to play drums/guitar/keys/sings and would like to do a song, I'm interested in doing some fairly simple rock and metal. Everything from Metallica up to Audioslave, Black Veil Brides, Papa Roach, Avenged Sevenfold, etc. Just some really simple stuff I enjoy rocking out to until I boost my chops a little bit.
