Finding the Right (Guitar) Tremolo

Sign in to disble this ad
I just inherited a Dean Avalanche MQ guitar, pictured here http://www.bill-lewington.com/Dean/electrics/avalmq.htm, albeit in the Amberburst color.

There is a corner of the tremolo bridge plate that is broken off right where it should contact the bridge pin thing that holds it in place, so I need a new bridge.

I'm looking online, mostly at GuitarFetish, and there's quite a few different choices. Basically, I plan on blocking it anyways, but what should I be looking for? Import or USA spacing?

Drr, never thought of that. Thanks for enlightening me to my own stupidity, something that my wife usually does (over and over).

I'm not a fan of Dean stuff, however, it's interesting that Dean made some really "boutique" stuff before the pointy guitar stuff that made them famous.

A friend of mine has a dean bass, plays and sounds amazing, but I frequently have poos that look better.
