Finger Tension

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a problem. My middlefinger from my right hand (plucking hand) seems to be under constant tension. It builds up, when I bend my finger, it gives a little snap, after that, the tension is gone for a while, but it returns after a couple of minutes. Snap again etc etc etc. I've also noticed that the finger is a bit swollen, compared to my other middlefinger. I didn't injure it, it hasn't been bruised or something like that. I haven't changed much of my playing habbits, although I've been playing Teen Town a lot, and I've been practising my string skipping at higher speeds..

Any thoughts?

Are you an angry driver?

Sounds like you need to visit an orthopedist. We are not doctors, we're bassists. OK, maybe a couple of us are doctors, but still...you've got something going on there, and it needs to be looked at.

Angry driver? If I get crossed by some huge jeep, I'm guessing yes

I thought maybe someone here has had a similar problem, and could give me some information.
