Finger Work Outs

What are some really helpful finger exercises one can do without a bass?

Such as stuff to improve flexibility, speed, dexterity, and endurance.

I know using a bass is the best way to improve all of this, but sometimes you don't have access to a bass. Like if you're at work or at school.

i used to just always move my fingers in a patten, while i was in class or something.....people may look at you funny, but they probably don't play bass...so who cares what they think!

*evil twin mode* get a girlfriend

For my right hand I often just hit the table with my two fingers (as if plucking eight notes or sumthin) as fast as I can for as long as I can. I also (sometimes without even noticing) hit the table with my thumb. But for finger exercises without bass.... maybe draw some frets on a ruler or somthing

Don't do any finger workouts. It probably won't help you in the end run anyway.

Get a upright, it'll make your bassguitar feel like a guitar.
