FingerStix (for those who want FunkFingers)!

Hi there!

Still looking around the 'bay for overpriced FunkFinger's? Well, take a look at these FingerStix I've purchased, they're rock just as hard as Levin's old ones...

I'm talking about those weird sticks on the picture below. Tony Levin used some homemade sticks like these which he named FunkFingers. The FingerStix and the FunkFingers are in fact similar, although Levin's sticks had rubber-bands instead of elastic bands to wrap around your fingers (and the FingerStix have drumstick ends).

The sound you get from the raw wood isn't very pleasant (I thought), so I wrapped them up with some tough electrical tape to soften the sound and to even out the drumstick-ends. It's still very percussive and sounds almost like slapping! That's a good thing, 'cause I'm not really into slap at all to be honest, I like the FingerStix though. Fun to play with and innovative... one more gadget in da house! :-)
