Finished Shopping, Time To Begin

First of all, I want to thank TalkBass members who have helped me answer questions about amps, accessories, and instruction.

Thanks!

I'm all done with the process of researching, shopping, and purchasing and am ready to get started with my first lessons, practicing, and playing.

Here is what I got and what it cost me. My budget was $600 US --

Bass: Schecter C-4 .................. $360.76 (Local shop... what a deal!)
Amp: Acoustic B20 ................... $106.74
Tuner: Korg CA-30 ................... $021.34
Strap: Comfort Strapp Pro ......... $037.35
Hal Leonard Complete Method .... $071.32
HL Method Companion DVD
HL Music Theory for Bassists
HL Bass Tab White Pages

Stand and Cable FREE

Total ..................................... $597.51

I'm very pleased and am looking forward to getting started. In addition to the materials purchased as listed above, I intend to use the following online resources on a "as it proves helpful" basis --

StudyBass.com

Adam Nitti.com Lessons

Dave Marks' Video Lessons

Metronome Online

teoria

Ricci Adams' Musictheory.net

(I post these for two reasons. One, so that anyone else who may be getting started may have a look and two, so that if you know of any others you can share them with me!)

Well, that's it... I'm on my way now...

Awesome - Congrats - you have a plan and the gear and I expect with discipline and practice you will see results soon. Best of luck!!

Thanks guys... I appreciate it.

Quick update; I removed one of the online lesson links I posted earlier because it turned out to be a site that just let people upload whatever...

I did, however, manage to find a couple of additional sites that I think will prove to be more useful --

activemusician Online Bass Lessons

Fender Players Club - Bass
