first band you ever saw, but do you remember the support act

New to this site so apologies if this has been done before.
Everyone remembers going watching their first live band but do you remember the name of the support act and if they were any good or not.
My first live band was "The Michael Schenker Group" 1983,Built to Destroy tour at the Preston guild hall in lancashire, england i was 14, that gig blew me away and i can still remember it now as if it was yesterday, i wasn"t even interested in the Bass guitar back then, only Rock music,Drink and women (in that order).
Support act was a band called "Wildlife" and if my memory serves me correctly they were awful and got booed throughout their set, having said that it was the best night of my life and ive seen thousands of bands since.
what was everyone elses memories of their first gig

I can't remember which concert was first, but I know my first two shows were The Outlaws/UFO and Molly Hatchet/April Wine. Both in '81 or '82.

I didn't know any UFO songs, but it all sounded good to me.It was loud and it was the first time I ever met Maryjane...........

Yep,we are old.

raffi around 1990

does raffi have an opening act? i dont know. i was in 2nd grade at most.

i remember the full lineup of the 4th concert i went to:

engine down
cursive
autumn to ashes
thursday

that was the first concert i actually went out on my own and bought tickets for. everything before that was me being young and just tagging along with the parents. super emo, but that show was insane.

the drummer for engine down was friggin nuts. im not a huge fan, but that dude tore it up.

First band I ever saw live was The Beatles, in the 60's when I was about 8 years old - My Mum and Dad took me. The Beatles didn't have a support band.

First gig I went to see under my own steam was Lindisfarne (a UK band that had a couple of hits in the 70's) - the support band was Genesis

Oh yeah I remember. I was about 12, and my first live show was the Rolling Stones. Living Colour and Guns n' Roses opened. It was KILLER!

It was KISS (no makeup) in the early to mid 80's. The opening band was W.A.S.P. They were actually the main reason I'd gone and they were fantastic.

Remember seeing kiss at donnington with no make up, it was no big deal to me but it was to my mate who was a huge kiss fan and he thought it was better than finding the holy grail, i must admit though they were a decent band live but even after that gig i"ve still never listened to them since as there not really my cup of tea.
I"ve sussed out over the years that live concerts are brilliant regardless of the band who"s playing ( theres obviously exceptions ) you just cant beat a live band, regardless of genre.

My first major band experience was James Taylor in 1975 just after the release of his "Gorilla" album.

The opening band was Rory Gallagher who played, among other tunes, "Bullfrog Blues."

It was at the Erlanger Theater in Philadelphia. The theater was demolished in 1978.

1979: First concert I went to was The Knack on their 1st tour for Get the Knack- and it was great! The supporting band was a band out of Boston called The Fools- and they were great as well

First band I saw??

Lynyrd Skynyrd, April 1976, Civic Arena Pittsburgh
1st Warm up - The Outlaws
2nd warmup - Steve Marriott's All Stars...

Very outstanding. VERY.

---------
To get really technical, I did see the Monkees in 1968 in Charleston, WV. But that was after Peter Tork left the band, so I don't count that!!
