Hi.

I don't know the answer to Your question (tube vs. SS perhaps ), but if I wanted to take a peek to the early days, I'd find a member who has a 1999 join date and look up his/her posts.

For some forums, setting the posts display to "from the beginning" might work.

Regards
Sam

I'm sure the first thread was something to the effect of...

My band plays __________. (acceptable entries being a) only originals or b) covers and some originals) Anyone out there who does something different is stupid so who agrees with me?

Maybe not word for word but something along those lines

Obviously my post was an attempt at humor and not an actual guess as to what the first ever topic might have been.

It may very well be a Jazz vs. Precision thread or Fender vs. Sadowsky or something along those lines.

Based on the popularity of such diversions, it was probably an OT post titled "What Should I Have For Lunch Today?" or something like that.
