First Gig Last night !

Hi all,

just thought I'd share a quick story of my gig.

In another thread I posted about how our guitard plays too f'in loud. (http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f15/gu...ob-back-937810)

The usual story, and well last night as i'd hoped he was mic'ed up on stage which meant he couldn't play as loudly as he wanted. I thought this was fantastic!

I could still hear him fine and everyone seemed to enjoy our sound, few mistakes here and there but all in all for our first gig I was satisfied with it to say the least. Even though he plays well too loud at rehearsal, the fact that he realises that he can't play as loud as he wants, makes me quite happy

Couple of bum notes but that's expected and my rig held up alright too

Here's a couple of action shots of me from the night, (I would have more but somehow our singer managed to have an argument with the photographer already and he took all of them down - Luckily I'd already saved a few, to be fair from the discussion I saw the photographer was incredibly rude and unprofessional but i digress)

Don't entirely know what the copyright rules are on the forum, even though the pictures are watermarked Copyright is owned by AndyBrownPhotos and I asked his permission first before posting, just to make sure

Hah hah, you're now officially HOOKED! The only way to stave off withdrawal is symptoms to keep doing it!

Congrats. Great to see the young ones carrying on.

Nice Rick too.

+1 on the albino Ric, they don't usually do it for me otherwise.

You never forget your first gig - congratulations. If you had fun and the audience had fun, then it was a complete success.

Congrats! The first is just the beginning of a long addiction.

And your bass looks sick! Usually ricks look butt ugly to me, but that all white one looks great. And that is a mighty small strap.
