My new band just played its first paid gig and it was incredible! We had a crowd of between 400-500 people in a local club and kept the dance floor full on every tune you could dance to (and even a few you couldn't, lol) After every song the response was great, people whooping and hollering, clapping, yelling the bands name, etc.
From that gig we already got two more bookings at another club and more in the works. The place we played wants us back, they made a killing off the crowd. This gives us two places that want to book us on a monthly basis (once a month @ each place) we are looking to add at least four more places with the same once a month attitude so we can rotate which places we play so we only play each place about every 6 weeks. We don't want to "over play" a club and have the crowd drop off from seeing us too much.
I feel like a caged tiger now, I want to play out again NOW. It does the mind good to hear so many people tell you how great the bass sounded, even people that barely knew what a bass guitar is. Plus, when other musicians in the crowd are saying how great your tone is you just can't help but raise your head a little higher
