FISHING FOR A TUNA, SORRY TUNER!!

Sign in to disble this ad
I hope that some of you migth be able to help me with this!

I have an old Korg DT-2 tuner, which I have owned for many years. It's never let me down and it has done the job. However, it only goes down as low as a C, which is a bit of a problem as I have low B's on some of my basses.

So, I need a new tuner which will not only cover the low B but be good enough for the setup work which I do to all my guitars and basses.

At the moment, the Peterson Stroboflip is the favourite. Although it's expensive, it it incredibly accurate and does have the 'sweetened' tunings which I can use on all my instruments.

Have you any ideas on any other tuner I could get? I'd appreciate any thoughts you have..

You're doing setups. Get a Peterson.

If you are looking for an accurate tuner that is very small and both gig and gigbag friendly, it's hard to beat the small Sabine tuner.

If you want a tuner that is small enough to take to a gig, and still accurate enough for setting intonation, the Peterson Strobostomp is wonderful.

why not just play the octave harmonic on the low B string?

but then again ur probably doing a bit more than just bringing strings up to pitch, if u do set-ups.

Thanks for your replies, guys!!

I'm going to take advantage of the great £/$ exchange rate and get a Peterson Stroboflip. It has all the sweetened tunings that I can use for my other instruments as well.
