Broach: I've actually played slap with a metal ring on my thumb. It's kinda cool, gets a different sound. Closest thing I can think of to the terminator thumb you speak of.

I work at a hardware store/lumberyard so there are plenty of opportunities to cut up my fingers. Cut almost 200 keys in a day, and that wreaks havoc on the hands. Long story short, my fingertips were so raw that I picked up a four pack of Krazy Glue for my fingers. LOL

| | | | Dermabond It's made for the medical industry. It's nothing more than a form of cyanoacrylate glue (krazy glue). There have been some comparisons between Krazy Glue and Dermabond for toxicity, and it's pretty much a scratch.
If you look at the chemical name, you'll see cyanide. This, of course, is why toxicity was in question in the first place...but it turns out it's actually no biggie.
Perhaps without knowing it, Flea is actually doing something that's very common in the medical industry. |

Sometimes my hands start to fall apart when I pack a lot of parachutes day after day. I don't mess around, I use the good stuff from a hobby shop. It's not cheap, but it works better than "krazy glue". Medium thickness "jet" has kept me packing more than once! |
