+1
The Bass Safe is OK, but I like a heavy duty roadcase with fully
recessed hardware (latches, hindges, handles, etc.) much better,
see pic of mine below.
Here is where I got it:

Get the Full ATA model. I have flown a P-bass, a Jazz bass, a 5 string
Lakland Skyline, and a Sadowsky P/J in mine. I think the contours are
cut for a Jazz, but the others all fit fine.
In a fit of insanity, I sprayed mine Olive Drab (with many coats of
correct metal/plastic primer and sanding, etc.). What a waste of time
and money that was...
However, the scrapes and gouges in the metal ball corners and edge
guards give you some idea of the beating it or any case will take from
the typical airlines. I have seen mine dropped/thrown from the hand of
a busy baggage person directly onto the concrete apron under the
plane in Dallas. No damage to the instrument after a dead fall of about
30 inches flat onto cement. I nearly fainted...
This case has now flown about 3 dozen times, and is even more scarred.
It is heavy and hard to fit it in the trunk or back seat of a small car,
as it is long (note yardstick in photo). Still, it had done its job well,
and I have yet to be charged for checking it.
Here it is:
