Flight case for multiple basses?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey people.
Just wondering if the following exists:

A large flightcase on wheels, almost like a portable wardrobe, in which guitars and basses would be hung/held in place, thus negating the need to bring each individual case into the venue.
My band have about 10 guitars and basses between them, which means 5 trips in to the venue every gig (one guitar in each hand).
It would be easier to have them all wheeled in at once...
Does anyone have any experience of a system like this?
(we have a big van!)

Cheers!

Jesse

Try searching for "Guitar Vault"

I found this:

If you were looking for something like a 2-bass flight case, I haven't seen one, but I'll keep looking.

Now I want to build myself a guitar vault. It'd be awesome.

EDIT: Gator makes a case to house multiple guitars:
2 strat:

http://www.gatorcases.com/productsmo...PID=114&MID=94
1 strat, 1 LP:

Can't find anything for bass, though. You may have to go custom options, which will run you ~$500 each.

Hi.

There's always the DIY route... Won't be cheap either though.

BTW, it's not the size of the van, but the weight of the "package" that I'd be worried about .

True, the weight could be an issue.
Maybe I can find some out of work skilled person (given the huge recession in Ireland at the moment) who'd be willing to put something together for a realistic price.

A case that took 10 guitars would be a tad heavy to lift in and out of the van and what about having to negotiate stairs?.

How's about telling the superstars to only bring what they need - and/or telling the lazy B*****s to carry their own in and out? :-).

get a standard gear trunk with casters that is a few inches longer than a bass flight or hard case, slide them in, insert spacers to keep 'em from rattling around.

You already have the cases.
