Floyd Rose Help

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey,

I've got a small issue with my Floyd Rose (licenced) equiped LTD; the nut is too high. I want to set it up with relatively low action and the nut is too high to allow it.

I'm wondering if anyone knows of any way I can lower the nut on the guitar.

Thanks for any responses.

BTW, the nut is installed with wood screws rather than a nut and bolt system if that helps.

I know it's only been like 2 hours, but come on!

Please and thanks.

Short of sanding down the area under the nut (and risking the potential of neck instability or breakage), I don't think there's an easy fix for this.

Well, there's about 2 or 3 mm of fingerboard wood (rosewood) under the nut. So, I don't think they'll be much of a change in stress.
